Organization Spotlight

Girls On The Run of Northeast Florida

Studies show that by adolescence, girls' confidence drops about twice as much as boys'. The statistics are alarming, but it doesn't have to be this way. Girls on the Run creates a foundation of self-worth for girls in the 3rd – 8th grades by using activity-based lessons that promote social, emotional and physical health. At the conclusion of the 10-week program, girls complete a celebratory 5k event, giving them a tangible sense of achievement as well as a framework for setting and achieving life goals. Girls on the Run of Northeast Florida serves almost 2,000 girls annually throughout seven counties in northeast Florida and employs over 500 volunteers per year to deliver our life changing curriculum and support our events.   Learn more about Girls on the Run here: https://www.gotrnefl.org
