Suicide |  The Ripple Effect of Awareness

First Coast Girls Initiative presents Suicide The Ripple Effect of Awareness; a three part series seeking to enhance suicide awareness and prevention. September's keynote speaker, Sherry Warner, will outline trends in the field, share key strategies to identify risk factors, educate on protective factors, and inspire hope.

A hot breakfast will be provided! Registration begins at 8:00 am.

JA of North Florida's volunteer-delivered, kindergarten-12th grade programs foster work-readiness, entreprenuership and financial literacy skills, and use experiential learning to inspire students in our community to dream big and reach their potential.


JA Day of the Girl: October 19th, 2018

Jacksonville Public Library - Downtown Campus

A day ALL about girls! Day of the Girl is a subprogram under the JA Girl$ Initiative. JA Girl$ and partner organizations, companies, and local entreprenuers will facilitate workshops on topics of concern for girls and young women ages 11-18 years old in Northeast Florida. 


$mart Women Make Change! November 8th, 2018

Citi Campus - Noon to 1:30 pm

The annual $mart Women Make Change! is Junior Achievement's signature event to benefit the JA Girl$ program. JA Girl$ has educated more than 19,000 girls and young women in financial literacy, career readiness, and entreprenuership since 2006.

Keynote Speaker: Julie Monaco - Citi

Named one of "25 Most Powerful Women in Banking and Finance" by American Banker, 2017.

First Coast Girls Initiative News

FCGI Advocacy Awards - Nominate Someone Today!

Our annual Patricia C. Remmer Advocacy Awards applications are now available on our website. We have a third category available this year; one Youth Advocate that is 18 years old or younger will be selected in addition to the program advocate, and volunteer advocate.

The award winners will receive recognition on the FCGI website, an award, and a monetary award ($250 for the individual, $500 for their organization) presented at the FCGI Holiday Party in December.

Nominations are due on October 15th, 2018. Download the application now!
